Mama Rumaan is a welcome addition to Melbourne’s barren but beautiful Docklands and benefits from a Harbour Esplanade warehouse location with its scenery. Moreover, if you arrive when they open for dinner you’ll find a place well suited to socialising with colleagues after work.

Tasty appetisers include mezze dips like other middle eastern restaurants including hommus, baba ghanoush, and jajik (similar to tatziki) served with fried zataar and pita bread. For mains we chose rice with a distinctive flavor that is not too oily, a very tasty lamb shoulder dish plus a salad with fattoush and pomegranate seeds ( ‘Rumaan’ in Arabic).

The very friendly owner visited each table. When he approached us, he greeted us with a hearty ‘assalamu alaikum’ and assured us that the menu was one hundred percent halal.

Makanan pembuka mereka sama seperti restaurant middle eastern lain, macam-macam dips & roti Arab / pita bread.

Pemiliknya sangat ramah mendatangi setiap meja. Ketika ia menghampiri kami, ia meyakinkan bahwa semua menu seratus persen halal.
